Kohima the capital city of nagaland is situated in the north eastern part of India. Kohima city was built in by the British as a watch post for the eastern region.
The name Kohima is so called because the Britishers could not pronounce its original name "KEWHIRA" which is the name of the village where Kohima town is located.
